Candidate Routing Tasks

This portlet allows the JICS Administrator to create combinations of divisions and majors (identified in EX as "programs") and to set up admission personnel assignments. The defined assignments are utilized by portlets in both CRM Candidate and CRM Admissions Officer.

· In CRM Candidate, you can use these assignments to specify the persons who will receive email messages concerning a requested contact or visit initiated by the Candidate. Then when a Candidate makes a request via the Initiate Contact portlet, an email message is sent to the Admissions Administrator or Officer/Counselor assigned to the division/major combination which the candidate has defined in their current candidacy.

· In CRM Admissions Officer, these assignments can allow Admissions Officers and Counselors to search for Candidates within the specified division and major combination.

Tasks

1. On the Candidate Routing portlet, click the Create the division and major/program combinations link.

The Division and Major/Program Assignment page appears.

2. Select the division you want to work with from the Division drop-down list. The divisions are listed alphabetically.

3. Select the check box beside each major/program you want to add to the selected division.

You can check the select all check box to select all of the majors/programs.

4. Deselect the check box beside any major/program you want to remove from the selected division.

5. Click Save.

6. To work with another division, repeat steps 2 - 5.

1. On the Candidate Routing portlet, click the Assign admissions personnel to division/major combinations link.

The Division/Major and User Assignment page appears.

2. Select the person for whom you want to make assignments from the Admissions Personnel drop-down list. The list contains all personnel specified by the Is Displayed in User Dropdown global operation defined by the JICS Administrator. The personnel are listed alphabetically by first name.

3. Select the check box beside each division/major combination you want to assign to the selected person.

You can check the select all check box to select all of the division/major combinations.

4. Deselect the check box beside any division/major combination assignment you want to remove from the selected person.

5. Click Save.

6. To work with another person, repeat steps 2-5.
